Click Speed Test: 30 Seconds

The counter above runs for thirty seconds. That is half a minute, and exactly three of the standard ten-second windows, which makes the second half of the run the interesting part.

0.0 clicks per second 0 clicks 30s left

The timer starts on your first click, not on page load, so nothing is lost while you get ready.

Half a minute, three standard windows

Thirty seconds is three ten-second tests with the breaks taken out. Divide your total by three and you get a number you can hold directly against your 10-second score. It will be lower. Showing that gap is what this window is for.

Clicks in 30 seconds Clicks per second
120 4.0
150 5.0
180 6.0
210 7.0

The rate falls, and you can feel where

Most runs start near burst speed, settle a click or two per second below it around the halfway mark, and finish at 5 to 7 clicks per second, or 150 to 210 clicks. At this length the forearm sets the ceiling, not the finger.

Pace it rather than sprint it

A steady 6 per second for the full thirty seconds is 180 clicks. Opening at 9 and collapsing to 4 usually totals less. Pick a rate you can hold and hold it. Resting the forearm on the desk helps more than any clicking trick.

What the score includes

Mouse, switch and browser are all counted along with you, so only compare runs made on the same machine. Longer again is 60 seconds, and every window is on the click speed test page.
