Meetplug

About Meetplug

Countdown timers for the lengths people actually set, a stopwatch with laps, and click and reaction tests. Everything runs in the browser with nothing to install.

One page per duration

A ten-minute timer and a
thirty-second one are set by different people for different
reasons, so they get different pages. Each says what its length is commonly used for, which is
the part a bare countdown leaves out.

How the timers keep time

Against the system clock, not a frame counter. A tab left in the background throttles its
animation, and a timer counted in frames quietly runs long; ours does not. Nothing plays a
sound until you have pressed start.

What the tests do and do not measure

The reaction test measures the whole chain — your
screen, your mouse, the browser and you. It is a game, not an assessment of anything. The
click-speed test counts clicks in a window and divides; that is the
entire definition of the score.

What we do not do

No account, no sign-in, nothing to install, and no result is recorded anywhere.
